Nov 04
The response to "Teenage Kicks" has been overwhelming and there is now a
number of venues, promoters and artists supporting the idea of celebrating
John Peel's legacy all around Scotland with more coming in daily. The main
shows in Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh will see the best new Scottish
bands play 20 minutes of Peel approved covers. Full details are below.
The Glasgow "Teenage Kicks" gig is at The Revue Bar Glasgow Barrowland
Ballroom 8-2 Thu 19 Aug 2004.
The Edinburgh "Teenage Kicks" gig is at The Subway 7-12 18 Nov 04 .
The Inverness "Teenage Kicks" gig is at Madhatters 8-12 Sat 20 Nov 04.
"Teenage Kicks Part 2" will happen again on Sun 21 Nov 04 at Glasgow Barfly
with a different line-up , due to over 60 bands wanting to get involved.
All gigs £4/5 on the Door
We are still encouraging every artist, band, promoter or venue to raise a
glass to John Peel over the CiN weekend and either collect monies for CiN or
encourage your audience to. If you do collect money hand it in to the
nearest BBC reception and text a total to 0780 375 2913
Full details of the venues that will be taking part or allowing collections
will be added as they are confirmed and feature in the Gig listings of
www.nemis.org
There is a cool tribute from Snow Patrol's website here

if you can give this event maximum support by passing this email to music
fans.
Thanx AD
